Kwang Hua 2009

This would be the band i'd be coaching this year. Its situated in Klang. Kinda ironic, this would be the 3rd band that i'm coaching situated in Klang. Cant it be any further that that? *sigh*

Yesterday, me, Hezrul and my junior Ali went for our 1st trip to the school. Hezrul would be teaching colorguards, Ali on the percussion's and i would be choreographing and handling basic marching and maneuvering. We came late, had to send a knock-on-the-door wake up call to someone hahaha.

Anyway, the school band is not bad, not bad at all. Good music, marching was just OK. The school is led under the direction of Mr. Ong Kim, who happens to be in the same group with Mr Tang (a big name in the Malaysian marching band industry). And here i am right now, in OldTown Yap Kwan Seng, choreographing their 1st formation for the song Estancia, which is due to be started on the 11th of April. Its gonna be a roller coaster ride from here on~!

KLDC @ Sunburst KL '09

Arabyrd feat. KLDC at Sunburst KL '09!

-21st March-
-Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club-

Following our previous show with Ara at Zouk UOX, again we were invited to collaborate with the hot sizzling DJ Arabyrd! We mixed together in Ara's BirdKick piece and we played a little something on our own too, entitled "OPOCOT"! And the best part is, free entrance into Sunburst! Hell yeah~! Here is the schedule and the bands to perform on the night.

We started the day with everybody arriving at Mont Kiara Sports Complex at 3pm. Everybody settled down, had lunch, a few chats, did some warm ups and fine tunes plus our final rehearsal, and we were off to the venue. As we arrived, we placed our instruments in the tent at the back of the stage, and we went off to enjoy the shows for about an hour and a half before our show started. We chilled to some relaxing reggae jazz music from Cosmic Kitchen!

This band is super cool! They played some relaxing tunes that just make you wanne slow dance and fly in the sky. And they also remixed their tune to fit the Malaysian style, adding the word 'sayang' into their song! Awesome! The crowd was with them all the way, singing 'sayang! sayang!' along with them. You guys were great, i'm gonna follow your progress from now on! Keep it up guys!

Our show began at exactly 8.45pm, right after Joe Flizzow's performance on the other side of the stage. Ara sang a few tunes first and we came out in the middle of her BirdKick tune and jammed our way to heaven! And oh yeah, we had this eerie Freddy Kruger masks on to make things look cool! It was pure fun, and the crowd was with it all the way! Thanks Ara for the invite!

After the show, we kept our instruments back in the car, and on with the party! Next up to perform was the long awaited, anticipated N.E.R.D! When they came up on stage, everybody simply went crazy! Their tunes was bouncy and ass-kicking! Everybody was jumping and screaming like it was insane! Finally they made their way into Malaysia. Good job to the organizers for inviting N.E.R.D to this year's Sunburst, it was a hell of a worth while.

Next up is, hell yeah, none other than the great KORN! A long awaited arrival, 15 long agonizing years! Their entrance echoed through the entire field! It was like a loud calling to hell's gate, and everybody gathered and prepared themselves for the concert of their lives. And so it began, headbanging time! They played a few familiar tracks and some old school hits like Faggot! And it was totally uncensored! Rated R! Not for the weak of heart! Just pure metal music, Korn's style! A very energetic performance, two freaking thumbs up guys!

After everything's said and done, music all washed up in my head, danced 'till my heart pop out of its socket, it was time to hit the road. Off for a drink and a late night snack at Damansara Perdana with the group. After chilling and relaxing our blasted brains for a while, we went back to VI, kept the instruments, and home sweet home! And here i am, sitting on my lovely computer chair, blogging about my day. It was a hell of a great one, worth the while. Gosh, my energy is all drained out, tomorrow is sleeping day for me. Chow~!

A Day Out

-18 March-
-A trip to the movies-

I woke up at 11am today. Showered, got dressed and went out. I'm planning to meet my girlfriend in CBN at noon. She's teaching kawad kaki to the cadets over there. After fetching her we went off to lunch at Times Square. We bought the tickets to our movie first.

Dragonball was starting at 3.45pm so we decided to stop by at the arcade and play our dance game! Hahaha hell she loves those dance games. After a few rounds of games here and there, including the basketball game which i'm getting pretty better from time to time, its time for our movie! Best seats in the house baby~! And oh yeah i found my junior and his girlfriend so we watched the movie together.

Dragonball was okay. Just okay. It didn't really follow the original script and theme from the manga but what the heck, its evolution so i guess that's what they had in mind. But i was hoping they would had made it into a bit more original look-alike, you know, with Goku's hair, costume, and especially the era they lived in. And they only featured such few characters, too few for 1 movie to turn blockbuster. They only featured Goku, Gohan (the early parts of the movie) Chi Chi (Choo Chang?) Bulma, Yamcha, Muten Roshi, and not to mention the villain Piccolo, who suddenly came out of no where (like what the hell?). So yeah the movie was just okay. The effects was not so bad. Could do better in a few parts here and there.

After the movie me and my girlfriend went to pick my brother up at Ampang Point. He just came back from a futsal game. Then we went to OldTown to grab ourselves some coffee! Gee, the white coffee at Old Town is the best! I was craving for it all week.

Finally after a long day, full of laughter's and smiles, i sent my girlfriend back and me and my brother went home. I had a great time out with her. Even though the movie was a bit dull, but watching it beside her changes everything. I enjoyed my time and i hope she did too. Take care dear! Looking forward for our next day out!

Don's Birthday Party

Date : Sunday, March 15
Time : 8 pm
Place : Hani's place

Map to Hani's House

*it was a pool party, so i brought extra clothes, just in case...*

I started my day in the afternoon. I went to UiTM's open day in Stadium Tertutup Shah Alam with Hezrul. Then we had lunch at Harisman's shop, and i went to Mont Kiara for a photo shoot with KLDC for Klue Magazine. During the photo shoot, Hani secretly passed me the map to her place, where the party will be held. I went off to buy Don's present (ill reveal it later) and arrive at Hani's house exactly at 8. The fun begins here.

One by one everybody started to arrive. Everything was set. The party was held in a small hall right next to the swimming pool. Chairs, tables, the birthday cake, food, pressies, radio for entertainment, candle cups on the floor circling the room like a strange ritual going on, yeah, everything was set. Don's arrival was planned to be at 8.30. The lights were shut. Hani told everybody to get ready, she went to fetch Don, everybody turned into a moment of silence, waiting behind the wall, anticipating the prey to enter the 'trap', and finally...

SURPRISE!!!!

Don came into the hall and everybody ran to him, giving out shouts and screams like a big tribal hunt chasing its prey into a cliff edge. Don was so surprised. His face wrote everything. He was bewildered. Mission successful, hell yeah! And on with the party! Dig in everybody!
  • KFC
  • Mee hun
  • Jelly
  • Chocolates
  • Beef Pasta (thanks to Nana's mom)
  • Bites and snacks
  • Cordial drinks
Time to get wet! There were small water guns where you had to fill water inside, and the best place to refill where the water supply will not cut off. Yes. The swimming pool. We sprayed and sprayed each other, soon everybody was wet. But no, this is not the 'wet' i'm talking about. Just when things seemed to be in control and it couldn't had gotten any worse, it just did.

Splash~!

Someone got thrown into the pool. Everybody laugh except me. Ever heard of that joke before? Hahahaha...that person was indeed me. I came out of the pool wet, drenched! I manage to save my wallet and hand phone. My jeans, t-shirt, heck, my shoes and socks were still on me! Yet everybody didnt hesitate, lifted me up high, started swinging, and toss me into the pool. But hey it was indeed fun and soon after i started laughing and everybody was laughing and clapping in joy, oh you think its funny ey? Laugh all you want people. The water sport didn't end there.

Next to be thrown in the pool was Nana. Then Nana's friend (Bean?). After a pause for a while, everybody attacked the birthday boy! Don was surrounded, grappled, carried and tossed into the water by merely all the guys there. Don came out looking frustrated, but with a simple goal in his mind, I jump You jump. He ran and grabbed his girlfriend Hani, carried her and jumped in the water together. Don's next pray was Sya, he again carried her and jumped in the water together. YES! I finally got my revenge against Sya, hahaha! And last but not least, Sham! Hahaha you think you can run? Get in the water! Splash~!

The party ended with everybody going home with smiles, and some of us with wet undies. Everybody cleared the hall, stacked the chairs and finished up the balance of the food. My extra clothes came in handy after all. It was definitely a night to remember, another memorable KLDC event. And last but not least,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DON~!

-owh yeah, i got Don a Love Box condom
,
boxed up along with Rhafie's Tongkat Ali
and Ben's tissue pack (just in case)-

Manchester United vs Liverpool

Time : 8.45 pm
Place : VIOBA Clubhouse
Event : Manchester United vs Liverpool

It was the clash of the titans. Mighty Reds against the Red Devils. It couldn't get any bigger than this (or could it?) I was finding a place to watch the match. Tried to called everybody, and everybody didn't pick up (is there a person named everybody?). Fine. Went to VI to watch the band practice, so i decided to watch the match at the clubhouse with Mr J (:p). It was raining so there was nothing much we could do rather than sit and enjoy the would to be an ass-on-a-pan match.

A quick recap. Cristiano Ronaldo put Manchester United in front from the penalty spot after Pepe Reina had brought down Park Ji-Sung on 23 minutes. Fernando Torres bustled past Nemanja Vidic to level five minutes later and Steven Gerrard put the Merseysiders in front from the penalty spot a minute before the break after he had been fouled by Patrice Evra. It was a 2-1 lead to Liverpool by half time. In the second half, Vidic was shown a straight red for a foul on Gerrard on 73 minutes and further punishment was inflicted as Fabio Aurelio curled home the free-kick. Andrea Dossena lobbed Edwin Van Der Sar in the final minute to complete a magnificent victory and cut the lead on the champions to just four points.

MANCHESTER UNITED 1 - 4 LIVERPOOL

Oh well, United played like shit, and my favy only came out in the last 20 minutes of the game. Overall, the worst match i've seen United play in recent months. Liverpool deserved the win. It was a big horrifying defeat for United, at HOME GROUND! And that Vidic, that piece of shit, was flying everywhere dropping bodies to the ground. He deserved to be flag off, i was eagerly anticipating that moment to come. Anyway, lose a game, win the whole cup. What the heck. Screw shit.
